1. Installation and Operation
1) Coding
There are five binary coding switches on the rear of the unit. Positions “ON” of each switch represent 1, 2, 4, 8 and16 respectively. For example, the coding of No.3 substation is 1+2, the switch positions of 1 and 2 shall be moved to “NO”; the coding of No.14 substation is 2+4+8, the switch positions of 2, 4 and 8 shall be moved to “NO”; the coding of No.19 substation is 1+2+16, the switch positions of 1, 2 and 16 shall be move to “NO”. The master station can confirm the substation without restarting the master station after coding.
2) Connecting method
Connect the binding posts 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the substation to corresponding binding posts 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the master station with a four-wire cable.
3) Debugging
Turn on the master station after connecting. If the alarm indicator light on the substation blinks every few seconds, the substation is in normal working state. Or the substation is not in normal working state if otherwise.
4) Recording method
The audio signal will output from the REC+ and REC- on the binding post plate of the substation. The substation can record at any time after connection. The substation can be also used as monitor head.
5) Door lamp connecting
The anode on the rear of door lamp shall be connected to M+ on the binding post plate of the substation and the cathode shall be connected to No. 4 binding post.
6)  Alarm and intercoms
Press the CALL key on the panel of the substation. The music from the master station will sound. Intercoms can be achieved after the master station has chosen the substation. There is a jack of handheld alarm machine on the rear of the substation. The door lamp will blink when the substation or handheld alarm machine alarm to the master station.
7) Alarm Relieving
If the substation or handheld alarm machine has alarmed to the master station, press the Relieve key on the panel of the substation to relieve the alarm.
8) Privacy function of substation
Press the Relieve button on the unit for five seconds to enter the privacy state to prevent the master station monitoring the substations. Press the CALL key on the substation to relieve the privacy state.
 
Note:
1. Grounding wire (No. 4) shall be correctly connected when connecting the substation. If the grounding wire (No. 4) has not been correctly connected, the master station can not select one of No. 1-20 substations easily.
